This week The Link Gallery is delighted to be exhibiting work made by children at North Hulme Adventure Playground and Webster Primary School in Moss Side, with guidance from art students at MMU in the Re-create exhibition.
The work relates Manchester to the plight of climate change and the effects the city has on the wider world. This is being shown as an educational tool to visitors and as a way of raising environmental awareness with everyone involved.
These pieces of art range from pinhole photographs, paintings, drawings and backgrounds, to hangings and free standing sculptures, and consists of zones relating to different aspects of climate change.
The media used is mainly from unrecycable materials.
